Yahoo has added IR+ and NA options.
IR+ is a category that can have up to 5 spots for IR or DTD players. DTD can be a killer in fantasy if the NHL team has no need to put an injured player on IR. Crosby was DTD last year for a month with his jaw.
NA also has up to 5 spots for those players that are suspended, sent down, or unavailable for any reason.
Any chance of having these added to our league? Maybe 2 for IR+ and 1 for NA. Salary cap issues for these slots would have to be discussed.

Eric, good point as you are well aware of I can not add or change those positions once the season starts, but that will and can be a major discussion during the Olympic break.along with cap space, more players on the minor league roster etc,the offer sheet for FA on opposing teams plus any other topic that anyone would like to bring forth, all rule changes that are proposed will be put in to an agenda thread and voted on by all GM,a majority of votes would be the deciding factor any one that is approved will be put into an amend rule section thread to the original rules

Eric I have not forgotten this,I also checked on Yahoo and I can adjust the roster now to add the IR and NA you were asking for,I think we should put this to a vote with the GM we have and let everyone decide if they want it,if they want it to put in place this season or if they prefer to wait until next year, please let me know what you think

I would prefer at least the IR+ option now. Players that are hurt and should be on IR are DTD because the NHL team doesn't need to replace them on their roster. They could be DTD for weeks which hurts a fantasy team because you're basically playing shorthanded. It's not as big a deal in this league because the roster size is large (30). Some of the leagues I'm in have only 20 to 23 players and it's worse.
The NA option would only be good for someone who is suspended. Some leagues are using NA to hide prospects that are in the minors, but we have a minor league team, so it's not an issue.

We could always try it and see how it works out. But as one else has stated our rosters are really deep enough to handle the DTD injuries

I am in favor of adding to the IR but not the DTD if JD will take a vote on this we can implement it and give it a try

Just so we're clear. IR+ allows you to add an IR or DTD player. IR only allows IR players to be added (we have 5 of these now).
My vote is for 1 IR+ spot.

OK yes Eric you are correct since every one has voted and is in favor I will add only 1 IR+ as of today,I am positive that once I add the 1 IR + that will be it and I will not be able to add any more till next year
